Mr. Taus was raised in Pasadena, California and London, England. He received his bachelor degree in Economics from University of California at Santa Cruz. Mr. Taus received his Law degree from Georgetown Law Center in 1985.
During the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, Mr. Taus was on the 22nd floor of a San Francisco building, working for a 300 lawyer firm. In 1990, Mr. Taus moved his family to beautiful San Luis Obispo and opened his own office. During the last 22 years Mr. Taus has tried many cases in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria Courts.
Mr. Taus has filed bankruptcies for more than 2,000 clients, mostly in the court in Santa Barbara, which is far more than all but a few lawyers on the central coast. The vast majority of Mr. Taus' cases involved people, who for a variety of reasons, have an overwhelming debt.
